Congress gave itself a $93,000 raise to "stimulate" the economy(video)

If this doesn't make you want to fly to Washington and slap your legislator, nothing ever will. Congress gives itself a $93,000 raise to stimulate the economy. It must be nice to have that kind of extra petty cash laying around. Instead of tightening your belt in this recession, wouldn't you like an extra $90,000? Never mind the record deficits. Never mind that ordinary Americans are struggling to pay their bills. Our Congress thinks it is far more important to be able to dole out perks to itself.

Here is the video from Bulls and Bears.

IR,

I saw this from your post on Libertarian Republican. Ummmm... do you realize that if these jerks had just done a "bailout" where they borrowed money and handed each American $93,000 - that would be an acceptable "stimulus package" to me. But they don't want to do that - they just want to do that for themselves.

I want them tarred and feathered. I've come to HATE the institution of our congress. Their true communists. They think that the bureaucrats deserve to make more money... as they RIP OFF the people who pay taxes MORE AND MORE!!! Grrrrrrr...

Tar and feather them. Tar and feather those who let themselves, and these things, fly through Congress.

The sad thing is that we are already a socialist country. We have Social Security, Medicare, federal highways etc. Isn't that a good start on socialism? UFF DA! Minnesota Granny The Federal Government employs those who have amazing health care and pensions. Who pays for it? We do. Minnesota Granny
